The moment you all have been waiting for...The Virtual World Showcase is coming! Please use the following links to submit your entry. You can video your entry easily on flipgrid https://flipgrid.com/showcase8250 OR you can make a video and upload it on this google form https://forms.gle/39ZBjDos3SSrK2i66 (Max 1 GB). Remember we are looking for entries in the following categories:
Performances: Share your cultural performance with dance, music, readings, or anything on the virtual stage. Looking for video submissions that last up to 3 minutes in the horizontal screen (movie theater-like). We will also be looking for translations of music lyrics to enhance our experience this year.
Virtual Cookbook/Tastes of the World: Prepare your favorite cultural dish or family traditional dish to share. Take a photograph of the finished product, write down your recipe, or better yet film yourself preparing the recipe on the horizontal screen (movie theater-like) to share with our community.
Cultural Webpage/Displays: Prepare a small presentation of some aspect of your heritage or family tradition to share - fun facts, maps or writing, objects or artifacts, or a fun game. This can be in the written form, pictures, a video, or in photographs prepared on a document or powerpoint.
Deadline for submission is February 5, 2021. Release date February 19, 2021.

The Science Committee is happy to share we are bringing back the Science Fair, virtually, on Wednesday, March 17, 2021!! Don't forget to mark your calendars now and we hope you take some time to sharpen those scientific skills, or you can even bring back the project that you were planning to present last school year!! Remember to include an email subject line: Grade/ Teacher and Event/ Activity
New this year our CLES PTA Yearbook will be all virtual! Parents/ Caregivers PLEASE send the following to our wonderful Yearbook Chair Angela clesptayearbook@gmail.com- A headshot of your child(ren) so class pictures can be put together. Note: Take a picture of them with a plain background (like a wall).
- Pictures from any school fundraising events
- Any picture of your child(ren) at their home school station
- Any picture of your child(ren) during lunch/recess at home
- Any holiday festivities/crafts
- Any PE or Arts your child(ren) do at home…
- Band / Chorus / Orchestra Note: Half body recommended so their faces can be easily seen with their instruments once these are all put together and (should also be taken with a plain background).
- Any picture with their spirit wears.
- Any first day of school pictures.
- 5th graders
- Parents / Caregivers please start putting together the traditional 5th grade dedication messages - please keep them short with a picture attached.

- Classroom Supply Donations: This is a sign up for parents who want to donate needed items to CLES teachers. Teachers provide their needs to the CLES PTA, and we solicit your assistance in fulfilling these needs.

- Pull Tab Program: The Green Committee and Community Outreach Committee are teaming up to participate in the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore’s Pull Tab Program!
